She Shreds Occupational Training

Do your staff need snowmobile training?

She Shreds offers occupational training with snowmobiles for any profession that uses snowmobiles for their work. This booking includes a pre-booking meeting that will go over all the professions needs and wants for their training. She Shreds then provides a schedule of training topics we will go over based on the professions needs. Each training session will include a basic avalanche companion rescue portion, winter outdoor survival session and mapping lesson for the staff if they are not already certified in these components. The on snow snowmobile training will consist of the specific needs of each operation. Each staff member will walk away with a competency report detailing each topic they were trained on and how they performed during the training.

We can cater to any profession or group at anytime! Please send us an email for questions, availability, pricing and to book your pre-booking meeting. Price will depend on group size, if sled rentals are needed, if the instructor has to travel away for training and how many days the training is needed for.

She Shreds has provided occupational training in the passed for many Cat Ski & Heli Ski Companies, Search & Rescue teams, Forestry, Conservation Officers, Police and Environmental Study Teams. If references are needed we are happy to provide contacts for this.

KLIM presents - Avalanche Skills Training level 1 (snowmobile specific) Jan 3-5 2025 - NELSON BC

2 FIELD DAYS ON SNOW (Saturday & Sunday) AND 1 CLASSROOM SESSION (Friday evening done online in a Zoom meeting)

Must have your own snowmobile and must be somewhat comfortable operating it.  Lodging or sled is not included but can be booked at an extra fee if needed. Open for men and women.

YOU WILL LEARN:

The Avalanche Skills Training Level 1 Course will provide a beginner level decision-making framework that is based on the most advanced knowledge available. It is suitable for use by people with a little to no degree of training and experience.

Objectives
At the end of the course, students should be able to:

• Describe avalanche formation and release using basic terminology

• Recognize avalanche terrain.

• Identify appropriate trip planning resources

• Apply the daily process for backcountry trip planning and execution

• Describe techniques to minimize risk when travelling in avalanche terrain

• Perform a basic companion rescue

If you somewhat know the basics like powder carving but are really starting to grow a passion for sledding and want to start to actually sidehill, this is the clinic for you! You don’t quite have the budget for a 2.5 day clinic, but still want to learn lots. Get ready to wiz past the skills progression lessons quickly to be able to compact it all into 1 day. We will be doing an online meet and greet on ZOOM with a pre-trip lesson the evening before your clinic on snow.

COST: $455.00 CAD + TAX

JANUARY 12 & FEBRUARY 12 & MARCH 21-23 2025 - INTERMEDIATE LADIES - As an intermediate rider, your stamina and endurance is now starting to get a little stronger. MARCH 7-9 2025 - ADVANCED LADIES - TECHNICAL TREE RIDING - As an advanced rider, you are ready to start sledding “outside of the box”. This is a clinic that will really push your technical skills in the tree’s, boosting off of features, and nailing “that line” with proper skills and throttle control. The Friday evening we do a classroom style lesson with a meet and greet than 2 full days on snow. If you can already sidehill but are really wanting to push yourself with obstacles around you and nailing technical lines, this is the clinic for you! We will be doing an online meet and greet on ZOOM with a pre-trip lesson the evening before your clinic on snow.

2 days COST: $1150.00 + TAX

Couples Clinic at Halcyon Hot Springs January 24-27 2025

A perfect weekend couples getaway filled with what we love most - snowmobiling and pampering yourself!! Enjoy the proximity to Revelstoke (only an hour away) while escaping the crowds in the most pristine snowmobile terrain!

This clinic is open for all ability levels.  There will be 2 coaches/guides therefore we can split off if need be (split off by ability level or split off men/women groups), but its a couples clinic so why not sled with our loved ones!

• 2 full day clinics on snow in world class mountain snowmobile terrain

• 3 nights stay in deluxe lodging at Halcyon Hot Springs (Studio Suites)

• Unlimited soaking in the healing water Hot Springs

• 1 evening classroom pre-trip lesson & meet and greet
