Couples Clinic at Halcyon Hot Springs March 1-4 2024

A perfect weekend couples getaway filled with what we love most - snowmobiling and pampering yourself!! Enjoy the proximity to Revelstoke (only an hour away) while escaping the crowds in the most pristine snowmobile terrain!

This clinic is open for all ability levels.  There will be 2 coaches/guides therefore we can split off if need be (split off by ability level or split off men/women groups), but its a couples clinic so why not sled with our loved ones!

• 2 full day clinics on snow in world class mountain snowmobile terrain

• 3 nights stay in deluxe lodging at Halcyon Hot Springs (Private King Cottages)

Please note this is the only clinic we offer where we mix ability levels within the group for the weekend and run it more as a “choose your own adventure” rather than the normal clinic drills all weekend. Some people will be more advanced than others and vise versa. For this reason, there are two coaches/guides (with no more than 4 couples total) to help provide you many options throughout the whole weekend (we can either ride as a whole group all weekend, separate the boys and girls for half days, do clinic style drills one day then just shred the next day, etc) the options are endless and you pick your own adventure.

Nelson BC Backcountry Snowmobiling Series

JANUARY 13 & FEBRUARY 20 2024 - BEGINNER LADIES - Your first time on a sled? Maybe second? You're thinking of maybe getting into the sport and want to give it a try! This is the clinic for you! We will be doing an online meet and greet on ZOOM with a pre-trip lesson the evenings before your clinic on snow.

COST:

1 day - $575.00 CAD + TAX

JANUARY 14 & FEBRUARY 21 & MARCH 22-24 2024 - INTERMEDIATE LADIES - As an intermediate rider, your stamina and endurance is now starting to get a little stronger. If you somewhat know the basics like powder carving but are really starting to grow a passion for sledding and want to start to actually sidehill, this is the clinic for you! Your choice of a 1 day clinic or a 2 day clinic. Get ready to wiz past the skills progression lessons quickly to be able to compact it all into the 1 day clinic. The 2 day clinics we are able to spend more time practicing the skills and honing in on them. We will be doing an online meet and greet on ZOOM with a pre-trip lesson the evenings before your clinic on snow.

COST:

1 Day - $575.00 CAD + TAX

MARCH 15-17 2024 - ADVANCED LADIES - TECHNICAL TREE RIDING - As an advanced rider, you are ready to start sledding “outside of the box”. This is a clinic that will really push your technical skills in the tree’s, boosting off of features, and nailing “that line” with proper skills and throttle control. The Friday evening we do a classroom style lesson with a meet and greet than 2 full days on snow. If you can already sidehill but are really wanting to push yourself with obstacles around you and nailing technical lines, this is the clinic for you! We will be doing an online meet and greet on ZOOM with a pre-trip lesson the evening before your clinic on snow.

2 days COST: $1050.00 + TAX

KLIM presents - Avalanche Skills Training level 1 (snowmobile specific) Jan 5-7 2024 - NELSON BC

2 FIELD DAYS ON SNOW (Saturday & Sunday) AND 1 CLASSROOM SESSION (Friday evening done online in a Zoom meeting)

Must have your own snowmobile and must be somewhat comfortable operating it.  Lodging or sled is not included but can be booked at an extra fee if needed. Open for men and women.

YOU WILL LEARN:

The Avalanche Skills Training Level 1 Course will provide a beginner level decision-making framework that is based on the most advanced knowledge available. It is suitable for use by people with a little to no degree of training and experience.

Objectives
At the end of the course, students should be able to:

• Describe avalanche formation and release using basic terminology

• Recognize avalanche terrain.

• Identify appropriate trip planning resources

• Apply the daily process for backcountry trip planning and execution

• Describe techniques to minimize risk when travelling in avalanche terrain

• Perform a basic companion rescue
